Alex Athanassoulas, President and CEO at STIRIXIS Group, delivered the keynote at an event that placed Greece at the centre of global premium real estate, for the first time.
For three days in June, Corfu became the meeting point for the world’s leading premium real estate professionals. The Forbes Global Properties Annual Global Conference 2026 gathered over 100 representatives from more than 30 countries and 65 organisations, including firms from the UAE, the United States, Japan, Australia, France, Saudi Arabia, Italy, and beyond. It was the first time the conference was held in Greece.
STIRIXIS Group was among the featured participants. Alex Athanassoulas’s keynote, titled “Beyond the Closing: Building Trust Through Delivery,” placed the question of post-transaction accountability at the centre of the room’s conversation.
In premium real estate, value is created twice: once at the closing table, and again in the year after.

Greece in the Elite of Global Real Estate
The choice of Corfu as host location was not incidental. Michael Jalbert, CEO of Forbes Global Properties, drew an explicit comparison: alongside Singapore, Monaco, and the French Riviera, Greece is now among the most sought-after markets for Ultra-High-Net-Worth individuals. Geopolitical shifts, he noted, have redirected significant capital toward markets combining stability, quality of life, and long-term value retention.
The conference produced concrete outcomes. Roula Rouva, Founder and CEO of Roula Rouva | Forbes Global Properties, confirmed that co-investments and partnerships worth millions of euros were initiated directly through the network during the event, spanning Athens, Corfu, and other strategic locations across the country.
The Keynote: Accountability After the Closing
Alex Athanassoulas addressed an audience of advisors, developers, investors, and family office representatives from across the globe. His argument was clear: premium real estate has a structural gap. At the moment of signing, nearly every party involved moves on. The client remains, managing a project in a foreign jurisdiction across a fragmented network of professionals who answer to no single authority. When something goes wrong, the call lands on the advisor who introduced the opportunity.
The solution, Athanassoulas argued, is structural. STIRIXIS Group’s integrated model brings strategy, architecture, design, execution, and aftercare under one accountable team, one contract, and one senior point of ownership. Through the Value Creation Circle™, the firm remains involved after completion, measuring outcomes against the original promise and refining what the first year of use reveals.
The property is the object.
The relationship is the product.
