Following the COVID-19 pandemic, STIRIXIS Group’s Athens team experienced significant growth. The shift from fully remote to hybrid working created the need for a larger, purpose-built workplace. The brief was threefold: revitalise an outdated asset on the high-visibility Athens–Thessaloniki national road into a modern office communicating the highest standards of workplace excellence; use the space as a live case study of how design actively shapes the professional behaviours that drive business growth — collaboration, brainstorming, wellness, psychological safety, and empowerment; and create a design that embodies the firm’s dual identity as both a creative and a strategic organisation. Coordination challenges included construction during summertime, balancing internal project work against client-facing priorities, and aligning all business unit heads — the firm’s busiest individuals — around a shared design vision.

STIRIXIS applied its full service model to its own space: workplace strategy, design, MEP engineering, branding, BREEAM, construction management, and tendering. The design produced 9 distinct work areas — closed offices, closed workstations, open plan, informal meeting points, group booths, call booths, formal meeting rooms, social areas, and social workzones — structured to support both focused individual work and spontaneous collaboration. A mixed address system pairs set seats for strategic leadership with hot-desking for the creative team, supported by lockers for smooth hybrid transitions. The New York Loft aesthetic communicates the firm’s global mindset while acting as a canvas for environmental graphics that add colour and warmth. Interact Pro and NatureConnect by Signify were integrated for advanced lighting and wellbeing automation. HVAC systems adapt to occupancy and environmental conditions. Glass partitions throughout enforce the firm’s open-door culture and transparency value. BREEAM standards were applied to every material and system selection from the pre-design phase.
