A Private School Redesigned For The Future.
The relocation of the Helleno-French School “Saint-Paul” from Piraeus to an existing 8,000 m² industrial building in Alimos was a highly complex undertaking. After 130 years of continuous operation, the school faced the dual challenge of creating a modern, functional educational facility while preserving the identity and tradition that had defined it for generations. The existing building needed to be fully reconstructed — both functionally and aesthetically — to meet the demands of contemporary education, including flexible learning environments, sports facilities, and a campus that could serve the well-being of its entire community.

After 130 years of continuous operation, the school faced the dual challenge of creating a modern, functional educational facility while preserving the identity and tradition that had defined it for generations. The existing building needed to be fully reconstructed — both functionally and aesthetically — to meet the demands of contemporary education, including flexible learning environments, sports facilities, and a campus that could serve the well-being of its entire community.
The business had scale, but lacked a differentiated retail expression and a system that could support consistent growth across locations. The challenge was to redefine the brand experience and create a concept that could compete, connect, and scale.
STIRIXIS Education re-imagined the future of Saint Paul Delasalle Private School (8,300 m²), including the adjacent area for sports facilities, through the integration of trends in education focused on inclusion, engagement, and community-building. The masterplan organised sports courts, parking, and green spaces for seamless campus flow. Inside, wide corridors, dedicated social spaces, and ergonomically designed classrooms support interaction and focused learning. A carefully selected colour palette of blues, yellows, and oranges energises the environment, while bioclimatic design principles and energy-efficient upgrades were incorporated throughout. Flexible, multipurpose spaces with mobile furniture and modular layouts ensure the campus can adapt to future needs.
The school’s innovative environment, from the façade to the materials, incorporates climatic principles to ensure sustainability and cost-efficiency in its operations. The completed campus delivers a state-of-the-art educational facility that honours the school’s 130-year heritage while meeting every demand of contemporary learning. The project was recognised with the European Property Awards, Award Winner 2025–2026, affirming STIRIXIS Education’s ability to transform a complex industrial building into a vibrant, future-ready school that serves students, educators, and the wider community.
