A family needed a three-floor home in the natural setting of Dionysos, Northern Athens, that could serve two distinct but equally important ways of living. On one hand, it had to be fully open; a place where rooms feel like a single, connected whole, where wide windows dissolve the boundary between indoors and outdoors, and where the dining area can accommodate large family gatherings. On the other hand, it had to protect individual independence: children with their own private spaces and garden access, a couple with their own floor above, a music room that would not disturb the rest of the house. The challenge was to hold both of these qualities; radical openness and genuine privacy, within a single, coherent home.

STIRIXIS Residential designed the home around the principle of seamless space. The dining and sitting rooms are surrounded by wide windows, making every room feel connected to the outside. Long sofas placed beside a smart fireplace ; which warms all rooms of the house when lit, anchor the sitting area as the ideal setting for large family gatherings and events. The main area surrounds the patio and garden almost completely, providing a constant sense of openness and breathing space. The children’s bedrooms and play area are located on the lower floor, each with direct access to the garden and pool, giving them, and the couple above, privacy and independence. A music room complements the living area, separated by a large door so as not to disturb those outside. The kitchen was designed as a functional area with a small table for quick meals, separated from the dining room by a small door, leaving the dining area free to serve as the true heart of the house. Interior decoration services were provided for all rooms, creating a harmonic image with nature and offering the feeling of serenity and tranquility, while keeping the style of the owners.
