When our team designed the chain of stores for Elpedison, we focused on answering these questions through a holistic, all inclusive approach to bring the true personality of Elpedison to life. 3 types of stores were created: flagship, pop-up and shop-in-shop, to answer all the aspects of our client’s goals and help their customer feel inspired, supported and engaged.
In 2018, ELPEDISON — a leading Greek electricity and natural gas company — set out to expand its services and reinforce its retail presence across Greece. The challenge was to develop a complete retail chain concept that could address varying needs and cover different key locations — from large flagship stores to compact shop-in-shop formats — while maintaining a consistent brand identity and customer experience across the entire network. The concept had to bring ELPEDISON’s core values to life in every format and location, making their brand omnipresent and memorable for customers.
STIRIXIS employed a holistic, all-inclusive approach to bring ELPEDISON’s true personality to life, developing three distinct store types that cover the full spectrum of the company’s retail strategy: Premium Stores (Kifisia, Piraeus, Thessaloniki) — 140m² spacious flagships reflecting the brand’s philosophy with top-tier aesthetics. High-tech booths and interactive kiosks optimise customer flow; an elegant tree highlights the company’s environmental commitment. Superb architectural and interior design paired with advanced technological amenities represent ELPEDISON’s identity at its highest expression. Point of Presence Stores (Ilioupoli, Athens centre) — smaller, comfy versions of the flagship, where the scale facilitates genuine engagement between employee and customer. Innovative design and environmental graphics give the spaces vividity and brightness. Shop-in-Shops (Avenue Mall, Makedonia Mall) — strategically placed minimalist formats offering a quick solution for customers to manage their energy accounts mid-shopping. Comfy seats, digital screens, and a potted plant create a minimalist location that still shares the common visual threads of ELPEDISON’s dynamic identity.
Since 2018, STIRIXIS has designed and delivered 19 of ELPEDISON’s 30+ stores across Greece, building out the brand’s retail identity from the ground up. The completed network delivers a consistent, memorable physical experience for ELPEDISON’s end clients across every format and location. STIRIXIS’s support — from strategy through design to full execution — has allowed ELPEDISON to focus on its core business while growing its retail footprint with confidence.
From a single concept store in Kifisia in 2018 to 19 STIRIXIS-designed stores across Greece, a three-format retail system that brings ELPEDISON’s brand to life consistently across flagships, points of presence, and shop-in-shops, helping their customers feel inspired, supported, and engaged.
