Our team created a brand new concept for our client Kostarelos, which involved the brand’s first shop-in-shop to promote the company’s top-quality products and authentic Greek flavors. The store is organized into areas, dedicated to different experiences based on the product offering, all in an open layout which invites the customer to explore more.
Kostarelos Greek Delicacies had built an award-winning flagship concept in Kolonaki — but the challenge was to successfully roll out that internationally recognised format into a new, high-profile mall environment. The Golden Hall Mall, with its mix of high-end and mainstream retailers, demanded a store design that could preserve the brand’s core values of authenticity, tradition, and heritage while fitting seamlessly into a premium retail context. Every element of the concept — from the façade to the customer journey — needed to translate consistently into a new setting without losing the warmth and identity of the original.
Following the main principles and design parameters of the original concept, STIRIXIS designed a new iteration for the Golden Hall store. The store is organised into dedicated areas — retail and food — within an open layout that invites customers to explore. The retail area is kept simple to showcase products, while the food area at the centre features traditional style with bold references to Greek culture. An open, welcoming façade combines tradition with luxury details appropriate for the mall environment. The preparation area is kept visible to reinforce the brand’s freshness and expertise, while the customer journey is designed to build trust, discovery, and engagement at every touchpoint.
Kostarelos Greek Delicacies successfully launched its 8th retail store at Golden Hall Mall, continuing the brand’s expansion across Attica. The concept — originally awarded the 5-Star Best Retail Interior Design Award Greece at the International Property Awards 2016–2017 and the Build Architecture Award for Best Greek F&B Project 2016 — was successfully adapted and extended into a new premium mall context, reinforcing the brand’s market leadership and deepening customer engagement across its growing retail network.
