Qassim University contracted STIRIXIS to design two flagship spaces on campus: the 3,700 m² main Auditorium with over 2,200 seats and a large stage, and the 600 m² Majilis Conference Centre with 80 seats. Both spaces demanded a seamless integration of contemporary aesthetics with traditional Arabic motifs, state-of-the-art audiovisual systems, and bespoke arrangements for the royal family. The Auditorium required advanced acoustic engineering, optimized sightlines across three floors, and a lightweight custom ceiling. The Majilis, with its circular layout, posed unique navigation challenges while needing to reflect the prestige and cultural significance of high-profile university gatherings.

The business had scale, but lacked a differentiated retail expression and a system that could support consistent growth across locations. The challenge was to redefine the brand experience and create a concept that could compete, connect, and scale.

STIRIXIS delivered architectural, detail, interior, lighting, and acoustic design for both spaces. For the Auditorium, a parametric ceiling with star and triangular patterns was engineered to be lightweight and acoustically performant, with materials transitioning subtly from front to back to balance sound reflection and absorption. Patterns derived from the Qassim University logo were woven throughout walls and finishes. The Majilis Conference Centre received intricate geometric wood panelling, custom brass accents, illuminated Barisol-panel ceilings, and a versatile central podium. Ambient lighting by ALlight was strategically layered in both spaces to guide visitors and create culturally resonant, sophisticated environments. Bespoke seating sections for the royal family were crafted with premium materials in both venues.
