With a vision to transform their investment into productivity, teamwork, and wellbeing, Schneider Electric entrusted us with designing their new headquarters. The STIRIXIS Group team exceeded expectations, crafting a space that not only met their needs but also embodied their dynamic identity and inspiring values. This commitment to excellence was recognized with the Best Office Interior Award, reinforcing our track record in creating award-winning workplaces.
Schneider Electric Hellas — part of the global specialist in energy management and automation with operations in more than 100 countries — decided to relocate their Greek offices in 2019. The challenge was to design a new headquarters that simultaneously communicated the brand’s identity, innovative character, and global prestige; supported team wellbeing; strengthened employee engagement; and boosted teamwork and collaboration. The design had to fuse Schneider Electric’s corporate workplace guidelines with locally sensitive, human-centred thinking, while integrating cutting-edge technology and the latest materials throughout.
STIRIXIS conducted a thorough analysis of the client’s needs and laid out a strategic, human-centred design logic grounded in WELL™ principles — creating a safer, healthier, and more sustainable environment for Schneider Electric’s people. The open-plan floor hosts the majority of employees, enriched with scattered common areas: meeting rooms, phone booths, a brainstorm zone, lounge area, and meeting stations, all designed to harmonically accommodate different work styles — focus, learning, social, and collaborative. A canteen area supports informal interaction and idea exchange in a playful, clean, and cosy setting. Hybrid and flexible spaces within the open plan support employees’ changing needs throughout the workday. The look and feel is welcoming and modern, with minimal lines and an elegant style. Materials, carpets, and flooring create warmth and calm, while environmental graphics deliver a refined yet vibrant result.
The final result was both impressive and engaging, and very well appreciated by the Schneider Electric team. The return on investment proved measurable: the team reported being 20% more satisfied with their new working environment, while visitors — both internal and external — openly admired the modern image and great functionality of the offices. The project was recognised with the 5-Star Award Best Office Interior Greece at the Property International Awards 2020–2021, and was also nominated for the Best in Europe Award.
The new Schneider Electric headquarters fused perfectly their corporate workplace guidelines with STIRIXIS’ design expertise — delivering the Workplace of the Future for their Athens team, recognised with the 5-Star Best Office Interior Greece at the Property International Awards 2020–2021 and nominated for Best in Europe.
