Siemens — a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare — needed to redesign their Greek headquarters and consolidate two expansive office floors into a single, cohesive space. The shift to a hybrid work model required the office to serve a new purpose: not a mandatory daily destination, but a space compelling enough that employees choose to be present when physical attendance is required. The design had to comply with Siemens’ strict global guidelines while responding to local functional needs, incorporating hybrid-ready technology, and embedding sustainability through the maximum reuse of existing furniture and equipment.

STIRIXIS produced a workplace that seamlessly adapts to the evolving demands of the modern workforce. The design integrates state-of-the-art communication booths and collaboration areas for virtual meetings and brainstorming, alongside introvert sound-insulated zones for focused individual work. Safe access measures, air-disinfection and purification solutions, touchless controls, lighting automations, and audio-visual systems were all optimised for hybrid working. In alignment with Siemens’ environmental commitment, existing loose furniture and equipment were maximally repurposed, reducing waste and embodying circular design principles. Open collaboration areas foster creativity and communication, while the overall layout strikes a precise balance between interaction and privacy, ensuring every individual feels empowered and valued within the space.

The completed design showcases Siemens’ vision for an optimised hybrid workspace. The transformation reflects the company’s virtues and vision, with a focus on openness and collaboration. The result is a dynamic environment that promotes seamless interaction and teamwork, significantly enhancing meetings, gatherings, and daily colleague interactions.
