TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas envisioned a high-energy, human-centric workplace that nurtures its culture and communicates the brand’s character, values, and prestige. Our team designed and delivered an internationally awarded space that redefines work and the workplace, whilst attracting talent and encouraging cross-functional collaboration.
TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas was expanding rapidly and needed to accommodate new employees while transitioning to a post-COVID-19 hybrid work model. The scope covered the renovation of two existing levels totalling approximately 1,400m² in a central Attica business district, plus a new 280m² area and a 180m² Regional Service Centre — all within the same building complex. The headquarters were fragmented, constructed in phases, and lacked a uniform identity. Construction had to proceed while offices remained fully operational, requiring careful staff relocation and scheduling. Additional challenges included COVID-19 lockdown restrictions affecting site operations, multiple subcontractor teams under immense time pressure, a strictly pre-approved budget amidst rapidly rising materials costs, and a redesigned IT support hub partially dependent on the building’s legacy MEP systems.
STIRIXIS began with a full asset analysis — estimated renovation costs, required permits, time schedule, alternative layouts, and relocation assessment — before being assigned the full renovation, rebranding, and construction. The concept is structured around a linear flow with social and collaborative elements distributed evenly across both sides of the long corridors, ensuring all functions are easily accessible to all employees. The space delivers 9 zones: open offices, closed offices, meeting rooms, phone booths, informal meeting areas, collaboration and brainstorming spaces, a kitchen–cafeteria hub, a lounge, and a decompression zone at the entrance. Advanced in-depth lighting design blends natural and artificial light with automations. Acoustic engineering — false ceilings, special sound-absorbing flooring, and high-performance partitions — ensures comfort and focus. Branded elements, environmental graphics, warm wood flooring, plants, and moss walls communicate TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas’ identity, sustainability values, and Greek character. The Regional Service Centre IT hub was designed with a pixelated fade-out pattern reflecting the high-tech nature of the department. The entire project was delivered turn-key in 6 months.
The project delivered a modern, joyful, and high-powered workplace with strong and intuitive user experience, high functionality, and a clear expression of the company’s identity and values. It was recognised with an internationally awarded space — winning the European Property Awards Best Office Interior Greece 2022–2023. The project strengthened TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas’ ability to attract and retain talent, boost productivity, and support their hybrid work model. The client extended their collaboration with STIRIXIS for further projects immediately upon completion.
STIRIXIS Group made TÜV Austria’s dreams come true — again. The internationally awarded space redefines work and the workplace for TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas, attracting talent, encouraging cross-functional collaboration, and establishing a long-term partnership that continues to grow.
